I spent winter break in 2011 reading Zen Garden and learning CSS! It was so useful in the next seven years of my career to be able to write CSS as easily as English.

Meanwhile I’ve got relatives evacuated from Merritt, classmates who won’t be able to attend class for a week, and almost everyone I know lost power over the weekend. Facebook is full of people asking for fans and pumps to dry out their base

Yeah, me too. There are lots of great shows I had to stop watching because of this. Breaking Bad, Dexter. I mean, I guess they did okay on those shows without my contribution, but I feel like they could have been just as powerful without as

That's one section of like ten equally important road links that are in equally bad shape. That one could be fixed fast, sure, if it was the ONLY problem we were dealing with right now.

Almost everyone in Vancouver, Vancouver Island, all over BC really, has flooded basements and other stuff to deal with. My school closed down due to power outages, for example. The road to the local landfill has washed out. Half of my class

I've been learning in my law course about how laws are built from precedent and often need to be based on real things that have happened, rather than in anticipation of something bad maybe happening in the future. So when it comes to f

Gosh, where are you getting these $25 tuneups? Shops in my town are charging $150 for a spring tuneup, and booking a season in advance.

I don’t even have 144 items in my kitchen, I don’t think, so that’s probably a lot of dishwashing. It could happen if you lane the water running the entire time. I’m horrified to think that some people do that.
