The thing is, 1 million is a pretty cheap price to sell your integrity. If you do get caught, you got caught over a relatively small sum. Once you've gotten your hands dirty, why not go all in? Why not go for James Bond villain money?

I think you can get a job in most fields fairly easily without references if your resume is good. I don't think it's possible to get a job without references in academia.

Like you said, it's anec-data. Among my friends, two were very sleepy the following day and otherwise fine. I had a sore arm for two days, and no other effects. My parents didn't have any noticeable effects.

Well no, covid. It's still fallout from that. Factories in the cheap-labour countries like Taiwan closed down due to covid, and oftentimes management made conservative bets about how long covid would continue, so they didn't ramp

Also bike parts, raw textiles, and tofu! For the tennis ball problem, I invite everyone to visit my balcony, where my upstairs neighbour's dog leaves all his balls.

Did OP mention their age? I assumed, without any other info to go with, that they're about the same age as me - 30's and millennial. And my cohort got participation medals for every goddam thing you could think of. Looking at the

Lmao, had the same thought. Also, did you get a lot of those participation trophies when you were a kid? I read a take on those recently, along the lines of, "if the adults always praise everyone, then their praise is meaningless and c

Such a defeatist attitude. I saved for my down payment for 17 years - because I started when I was 15. It wasn't much of a hardship because my lifestyle didn't need a house before that. And it was just normal, 100-400 per month wh

Yeah, I had one in Canada too. I think we were making forms for insurance companies to onboard new clients more quickly? But the forms were fillable pdfs, which I then had to scrape the data out of in order to feed it to the app. Why not us

Karin has mentioned that she doesn't want to see side chatter or factions forming. To an extent, I agree. I also know that it is very intimidating to present an idea that might be controversial without at least floating it past a coupl

The P2 theme was pretty good when I worked at WordPress (see older version here https://kodedansk.wordpress.com/ ). They seem to have added some bells and whistles since then, but it looks like the intention is the same - co
