A startup I have worked at had a programmer who had PhD in math. His prior experience was primarily shell scripting in addition to some other very minor experience. A PhD in math will tell a potential employer that you are smart. Very smart

One thing I would add is either reducing title size on the front page, or adding an adjustable title size on the front page (and remember that title size). I wouldn't mess with the font size otherwise, it just throws everything off. Otherwi

Remember The Milk has great google calendar integration. There is a gadget that can be displayed in google calendar in addition to feeds that google calendar can import (including an events feed). It has nearly every feature for tasks.
