I think many people have never experienced and don't realize how mind-bending a clear night sky in the winter without light pollution is. You need to get pretty far from civilization but when you do you will see so many stars, colors a

Don't snowmobiles and jet-skis do 0-100 in a couple of seconds? Why don't they provoke this kind of reaction?

This is my understanding of shaders: Drawing a line on the CPU: a function looping through each pixel between point A and B and draw one pixel at a time sequentially. Runs once with exactly as many steps as there are pixels in the line. Dra

I'm not so sure using local models is a cheaper alternative. Computation/electricity is not free and OpenAI is heavily subsidised. It feels like people think local models are free just because they don't need to pay a third p

The stuff Copilot helps me with is not the stuff SO could help me with. Check out 6:05 and 6:25 in this Andreas Kling video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mxubNQC5O8 That's where Copilot shines, not for locating and

I think what differentiates it is what they call "Command K": https://cursor.sh/features#cmd-k It basically gives you a Github style diff/PR right in the code, whereas Copilot just autocompletes.

Fair but I don't think Cursor is one of those. I'm not using it myself but I've heard a lot of praise. What they're innovating on is the UX where the diff gets integrated into your code in real-time. It's like watch

Copilot sends huge prompts continuously since it includes adjacent files for context. That's why it's so good at "figuring out" your own esoteric code.
