On many roads if a deer jumps across the road at the wrong time there’s literally nothing you can do. You can’t always drive at 30mph on back country roads just because a deer might hop out at you.

Density becomes an issue rapidly. It might be 500x slower with a few people using it, but that’ll rapidly get slower as it’s used.

5000x faster than the “typical” connection on 5G, which, translated, means absolutely nothing. 5G is technically capable of 20gbit/s. So, maybe it’s theoretically 47x faster… in practice, in the real world, I assume it’ll be much much

Just use FreeTaxUSA. It does everything TurboTax does and costs nothing except for state filings. Stop giving intuit your money so they can lobby to continue making the tax code complicated…

What indicates such a product is coming from Tesla? The robotaxi is only 2 door. Unless you mean continued price cuts to the 3, which seems… ambitious.

If there’s more chargers than there are cars, then moving cost into the chargers is bad. Adding cost to something we want to be as ubiquitous as possible (charging infrastructure) will hamper it. Also, not sure if you’ve ever seen even the

I doubt your doubt. They’re not that heavy, and a 12kW inverter charger isn’t particularly expensive. Maybe $600-700 retail or $200-300 in BOM. Asking everyone to put a high power AC/DC converter in their house or charging infrastructu

People knew lead was harmful in large quantities, sure, but the science around just how bad lead is and how little can cause damage I would say was not known. Regarding PVC: It already is not used in almost any new construction for water su

You’re over prioritizing an edge case while ignoring benefits, I’d say. If you want to talk about blast radius: PEX is substantially more resistant to freeze bursting. What about houses that are poorly insulated, so they are prone to pipe f

Sure, agreed. I’m just pointing out that the GP quibbles “what about microplastics” without comparing the known levels of lead (ie even extremely small amounts) that are unsafe. And it’s pretty obvious that high levels of lead lead to devel

If you have rodents inside your walls or attic, you have a major issue unrelated to the PEX. Also, to my knowledge, the colored PEX is the main culprit. Clear variants aren’t nearly as “tasty”. Either way, if you have rodents inside… that’s

The dose makes the poison here. How much lead is permissible before it’s bad? The answer is, very very very little. In comparison, you get copper contamination from copper pipes (especially if the water is too acidic), however the body hand

So... Android Auto + CarPlay? Or, if you have some of the aftermarket infotainment (probably some first-party, too), you can mount your phone as a 'flash drive' and play MP3s off it directly.

Skin effect works at all frequencies besides DC. At 60 Hz it’s 8.5mm. So, solid conductors thicker than 17mm have some skin loss. You can mitigate this by winding multi strand wire in a particular way, though.
