   I've only used C# very topically. Do you have any documentation that describes how it behaves?

   I should been clearer, I was referring to the pre-JIT behavior. Definitely an important distinction!

   The other cool think about running in a JVM is those optimizations (I believe) are done at run-time -- a luxury that swift doesn't have.

   I'm not sure what they're sacrificing in terms of compatibility. Do you have any examples? There is a degree of complexity, but providing interoperability with most languages more complex than C will introduce complexity.

   Good question, I'll update the post if I can figure it out. It turns out that swift uses both witness and virtual tables, something I'm realizing I didn't make very clear in the post. https://github.com/apple&
