As they put it, it was less of an interpreter, and more like 3 regexes in a trench coat.

I like FS, but it's always had kind of nebulous morality, though. It lumps in humans with companies, which cannot have morals, under the blanket term "users". This is the same tortured logic as Citizens United and Santa Clara

OK, but this is true for most younger languages. The older they get, the more they tend to accumulate. Check back in on Zig after another decade.

This is a nice argument for why humans should seek to inhabit the moon first, but I'm not sure I would call their proposal "terraforming". There's no wide-scale alteration of atmosphere, temperature, surface, etc.

"Keep the national parks funded" sounds like a good use case for lobbying, until you realize it's only needed as a counterweight because lobbying diminishes the relative role of the democratic process itself in meeting needs.

That particular part is the same, roughly. The bigger issue is just that CC's a better agent than Cursor, last I checked. There's even an official Anthropic VS Code extension to run CC in VS Code. The biggest advantage is being ab

I don't see it, and like the other commenters, it seems like the design space is just constrained enough that the projects would have to have some similarities. Regardless, if you think you're being copied, just copy right back. I

These are all good points, and if it fits how you think about the problem, git is clearly right for you. I think for me, the unification of concepts, and simplification of DX, wins out. I like being able to use the same set of commands for

git and jj are functionally equivalent in this respect, yes, but it's all easier in jj. It all becomes one concept and one command set, instead of three different ones. The git features of stashing/staging are removed, but they&#x

To be precise, React was the first (afaik) to apply that to web UI, but definitely not the first to apply that to UI in general. The basic idea of a unidirectional loop is how video games were built for years before React.
