This discussion got me thinking and I started working on a side project to do exactly that. Let me know if you'd like to be notified when it's ready for beta. My e-mail is in my profile if you're interested

This seems really complicated and expensive (if you're not using the free tier of each of the services) for something that could be really simple.

Well that's reassuring. It's not obvious from scanning the first page that this is how it works and will potentially scare away users. So I guess then it only works if I have a reliable internet connection and my battery doesn

It probably uses a LOT more info than only the mouse move/mouse click. Remember, google tracking is embedded in probably 99% of websites you visit so from your ip, cookies, tracking, logged in Google profile, etc... they're able t

I don't get why they decided an OS X app was more important to release than a browser app... A browser app reaches a way bigger market share than an OS X one.

When was the last time you absolutely needed to contact a website owner that had no contact information at all on their website? The idea seems well executed, but it tries to fix a non-existing problem in my opinion.

I think the best way to have that API would have been to provide an app-specific link with an optional (or maybe even required) second parameter to a fallback link to the website for the same action. Let's say your app has a "shar

The main issue I read was that even though it gets some light (something like 1 hour of light per 12 hours) the battery can't recharge when it's cold. So Philae needs light to heat up the battery and only then it can start chargin

My worst comment on Reddit : "Are you stupid?" Sounds about right. Edit : Damn now I'm worrying this will become my worst HN comment too. Double Edit : Just ran it again and now it's my worst comment on HN.

async/await is there to reduce the massive amount of boilerplate code you need to write when doing async. Of course there will be corner case bugs or weird behaviors sometimes, but that doesn't mean it's all bad. If async

I like your website and what you're offering is really cool but I think it would be better if you specified how you much it costs or if there are any limits. I understand it's in beta and maybe you don't have pricing figured

I would suggest you disable the auto-playing video on your website, it's really annoying when a website does this, especially since it's so far down the page that I couldn't figure out the source of the music at first!

I couldn't imagine getting all my team to use this product and then suddently GitHub updates their UI and this plug-in is broken for days or weeks before an update hits the Chrome app store. This seems like a huge deal breaker.
