I see the sense in curated lists of remote developers, if that's what you're asking? - Some companies are 100% remote - Companies in unfavourable locations may want to expand the talent pool they can hire from - Timezone coverage

It does make sense. How does a curated list of women in tech available for hire help solve that? Won't both companies that pay and treat women fairly in line with men already be hiring them... and women already be choosing to work for

I don't see the importance in making a distinction. I can think of a very limited number of reasons a company would _specifically_ want to hire female devs? Why not hire the person best-suited regardless of gender? ...maybe I'm mi

I'm not sure how that would work, without breaking the encryption the mining process relies on... but then it's not "faster", just "broken".

I liked most of the changes, but it lost me with the final redesign. Three columns without much separating whitespace is quite jarring to follow. Maybe that would work better on a larger screen with some padding between the columns. Fun exe

Saw this project the other day when looking through go resources, sounds like it's at least part-way to what you describe: https://github.com/photoprism/photoprism

I use and love vimwiki[1]. I set my vimwiki directory to be in Dropbox, so it's safe/available on all my devices. [1] https://github.com/vimwiki/vimwiki

At a guess, they're gleaned en-masse from the résumés of those working at 'prestigious' companies. e.g. SWE at Google - "these résumé lines must be good!"

Never. I think people that frequently pull all nighters (i.e. those claiming to do so multiple times per week) are probably missing the point that they'll get more work done with ~6 100% productive hours per day, than 18+ hours at fa

I always liked the sound of org-mode, but as a long time vim user, I always found attempting to learn Emacs pretty jarring (I know it's just a matter of spending more time with it, but...). For what it's worth, I found vimwiki pre

For those interested in investing and finance, I have a question. Why would this news not cause Tesla's share price to go up? It seems generally well-received (well, as much of an indicator as 812 points on HN is). Surely that's a
