Oh, yeah, I forgot. Dollars are much better; a central bank (actually, any bank) can create arbitrarily many of them and flood the other banks and the market with cheap money, causing things like the subprime crisis. Much better than crypto

Let perfect not be the enemy of good. If you demanded that our currencies like dollars live up to your criteria, we would still be trading goods without currency.

I have a SSD and fast internet with low ping. Besides, the start menu shouldn't need to connect to the internet.

Meanwhile on Windows 10 it sometimes takes 2 seconds until the start menu pops up, or sometimes a full second until a right-click context menu comes up. On a clean Windows 10 install on a 3.4GHz PC with plenty of RAM :)

Is it just me or are websites that implement these kinds of selective paywalls rarely worth visiting, let alone worth spending effort to get through the paywall?

I think the risk that terrorists detonate a dirty bomb in urban areas or poison the water supplies (which is actually really easy) is much higher and more alarming than anything North Korea has ever done or will do.

It was an example with simple numbers. My goodness, I forgot how pedantic people are here. If someone does not understand that average is not median, then I'm not going to talk about standard deviation...

> Not surprising, since the very definition of "IQ 100" is average. Average is not enough. If you have 10 people who have an IQ of 80 and one with an IQ of 300, that'd also average to 100. What matters here is the (roughly

Thank you for presenting an encouraging counterpoint. I think own game engines can work, but you'll probably have to stick to 2D or 2.5D because 3D introduces such great amounts of additional complexity - and even though 3D is not extr

As mentioned in the post, it wasn't about politics. Republican or democrat, it doesn't matter. It was about human psychology and how apologizing is a hinderance to getting ahead.

Can confirm. Also, Windows actually saves batteries compared to a vanilla Ubuntu install. I don't know why but Linux GUI is extremely wasteful for some reason.
