Upvoting for Battle of Wesnoth. It's a great game and feels rewarding to succeed at. It's got a great ecosystem of addons, such as user submitted stories that you play along, so there's a plenty of content to explore.

Teeworlds is fun, I have spent hundreds of hours in it. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's hard to stop playing once I start, and I regret ever finding out about the game. Thanks to automated solutions I don't play i

I'd recommend Namecheap, they have active customer support. Only minus is I couldn't use Let's Encrypt with them.

It took me 200 hours of reading and doing some Anki to be fine with reading just about any German text last year, there are words I didn't know yes, but I by the time it felt I have climbed the steeply hill of getting a hang of the lan

Sorry to hear about that. Valve has customer support though. On a request I had a few months ago I got responses promptly.

I'm not sure but it could be that it makes it easier to read on big displays. Of course this isn't very Responsive Design like. I will be glad to be proven wrong. Interested in why HN has such a small font by default as well.

Hihi. That's true. Maybe an addon that keeps cards' ease at the same rate would do. By the way, have you checked out Migaku's vacation add-on? I suggested it to you a while ago.

Ah, Foobar2000. I loved using it back in Windows days. It works great, and supports a whole lot of music formats. I recommend it.

I recommend NewPipe for watching YouTube on phone. Best of its kind, free and open-source. https://newpipe.net/

More like "they had, but decided to remove". Firefox on Android used to support any extensions, but they cut that down. You can still get the functionality in browsers like Icecatmobile, though.

I think you have a point there, but it could sound less condescending. It is really putting off. I personally don't think it leads to anything constrictive, only makes people feel worse about themselves.

I'm surprised at the negativity people have towards it. I wonder what they'll have to say when those points of critique are fixed, like the fasting crowd's issue with 4 hours span. I find the website fairly useful. When I

Happy new year everyone. Here are some of mine: 1. Be the kind of a person to read books(focus on reading instead of playing). 2. Read Japanese. I'm okay at it but I have spent 2 years without using it at all. 3. Get good at programmin

Some years ago I've been learning Japanese for about two years. I decided it's time I try speaking with natives, so I joined a Japanese Discord server and hopped in a conversation. Ended up being laughed at, made fun of, and stopp

The change in Go is that professionals now play more AI-like stuff, basically the same opening moves, and that's fairly boring to watch. It's the best sequences of moves we have so far, but also everyone knows them and isn't

I agree that memorizing words or kanji in isolation from the target language material is not an optimal strategy, whether one uses mnemonics or not. It is not relevant to your argument against using mnemonics. In addition, in my opinion you
