Just take on a conventional second job to make the money. If you reduce your living expenses at the same time, that will make your earning requirements for the second job lower. Aside from inventing an innovative idea or finding an existin

This doesn't account for the fact that most copies of the NYT would likely be read by more than one person. The ad rates take these extra readers into account. How many people do you know who would gladly let others read the news off of t

Yes, but you need to find a way to do picture sharing better. What would differentiate your startup from flickr or photobucket? A tie in to all the networking sites where you upload your photo once and they show up in all of your networks

Even on Windows, I find it hard to think of a power user who isn't at least passingly familiar with the command prompt. I'd recommend either O'Reilly's bash shell book or 'classic shell scripting' which covers a bit more than just a shell l

The problem is that you'll maybe find two other people on this site who understand functional and meta-programming well enough to discuss the issues with you (and I'm not yet one of them).

You realize that at this point, the best candidate programming language for 100 year language is probably COBOL, followed after a good ways behind it by C. What about Lisp? I don't believe it's gaining new programmers at a fast enough rate

I think you need to go back and look up the definition of 'open standard'. Someone figuring out how to reverse engineer one company's product implementation does not make that either 'open' or a 'standard'. What's needed is a written spec
