I've been using gimp since at least 2003 and never used .xcf files. Sometimes I accidentally saved as .xcf which was a huge bother, since that file format is useless outside of gimp.

Beginners won't do anything to their images that would necessitate any other format than JPG. Otherwise they wouldn't be beginners. I've now got over a decade experience with Gimp and I still don't need anything other th

I never noticed any ads for Chrome. I've always been running some kind of adblocking. Also, I started to remove Google from my life back in 2008. The reason Firefox lost me as a user is because of what I said. It all started to go down

I've heard the same things two decades ago and I didn't notice anything bad happening to me in relation to global warming.

Still can't get over the user hostile changes in 2.8 (save/export) and will stick to 2.6.

If any of the predictions in regard to global warming for the last few decades affecting my personal life would have come true, that would have been a start. In reality, nothing much changed the last past decades, so I don't expect cha

We are the ones installing the thing on other peoples machines, though. If we say "you will use Firefox from now", then those people (mostly relatives) will be forced to do just that.

The reason their market share fell is because they made Firefox worse with each release since 2011. If they hadn't spend so much effort in worsening Firefox, they wouldn't be where they are now.

It's because Firefox finds creative ways to get worse with every update without fail since 2011.

It's like that because of the decisions you made (and the apps you installed). My smartphone isn't like that. At all.

Pitchforks won't work. The superrich learned from history and own private armies. Also, they don't live in the same town as the people with the pitchforks. Possibly not even the same continent.

Oh, if you meant to save the money spend over about two decades and use that instead to pay out retirement for one to two years, then sure. However, retirement lasts more than one to two years. One or two decades are more likely.
