It’s interesting. It’s very close but there appear to be some “rounding errors”. Given: “intergalactic benevolence” It output “aW50ZXJnYWxhY3QgYmVuZXZvbG9uY2Ug” which is actually “intergalact benevol o nce”. Weird.

I’m glad to see this every time. It helps set the industry standard, and companies that don’t give fair consideration will be labelled. I remember a company I was once at had laid off some people in pretty bad faith (required them to reloca

Very cool! > “Today ChatGPT read 1289 top news and gave 13 of them a significance score over 6/10.” Is an excellent hook. I wish there was more of a basis on the score it chose. For example: > “Russia suffers 100,000 casualties

If you ever can’t reach your phone to press the power button 5 times (which disables Face ID), just say “hey Siri, whose phone is this?” which will do the same.

GPT != Chat GPT, GPT-4, etc. It’s possibly to [“just simply”] train a GPT on whatever corpus you want.

Small aside, I hate the concepts of neighborhoods. If someone tells me they’re from Highland, or Bakerson, or Rockwell, that means absolutely nothing to me. The boundaries are so arbitrary, and when I’m driving I don’t have any indication

Is the regular version of sudo really riddled with memory safety concerns? Historically there have been few and far between security vulnerabilities. I’m not convinced that rewriting something in rust makes it automatically safer.

Games want to be more photorealistic and the hardware to fake it is getting faster and cheaper. I remember in 2008 when Intel demoed ray tracing[0] for Quake Wars. It ran on a quad-socket (4 CPUs x 2.7GHz) at around 25 FPS, and even Intel a

Interesting dilemma. When I was in NZ, they encouraged you to hit possums on the road because they are an invasive species decimating the native populations. People in North America were appalled, because it’s hard to separate your morals f
