I never understood those scales. Let’s imagine they have a perfect formula which can correlate electrical impedance to fat %. But the electrodes are on your feet, so the very best it can measure is the shortest path up your leg and down the

I can’t believe there’s only one image of Apple Maps in that article. Every image is captioned with “See! Look how similar it is” but I have nothing to compare it to.

It’s crazy. How is it any different than the CCP luring Americans over to China and throwing them in prison for posting distasteful content online? The CCP and the FBI have different values, but it’s entirely the same concept.

Learn how to use a debugger. It sounds like the code base you’re working on a small enough that print statements are fine, but that won’t always be the case. Imagine you’re working on a bug that’s extremely hard to reproduce (say, a race co

That reminds me: what ever happened to Shazam live lyrics? You used to be able to Shazam the middle of a song, and it would start displaying the lyrics in real time. Apple even demoed it in a keynote. I haven’t seen that feature in a while.

Seems broken. I asked it to find me a cable to connect my iPad to a tv screen. It returned a JSON message with some random filler content and links to “example.com”. Next I asked it for some help finding a light backpacking tent and it gave

Python’s fork can be used to create children. Don’t forget to kill them when you’re done otherwise their memory can leak when they become zombies. Trust me, it’s about programming. Not snake horror dystopias.

As a non-American I’m just curious: where does this ideology start to be pushed? The whole idea of “I don’t like this, so I will sue” isn’t really present to nearly such an extent in the rest of the world. I’m just wondering if it’s somethi

The word used should be “simulates”, not “emulates”. The software is designed to mimic the look and feel of the old projectionist software (which ran on PP). It does not in any way emulate PalmOS or the PP hardware.
