I don’t care if someone leaks my fake DOB in a Dropbox hack and then tries to reset my Netflix password. Websites that use my real DOB are usually linked to my identity, so I’m much more concerned with protecting them from, eg social engine

Interesting, there’s absolutely no difference between justify and align left on iOS Safari. I wouldn’t have guessed that’s an unsupported feature. I guess it’s not common enough for me to notice throughout the web.

For me, that moment was uninstalling an app. I had to Google it. “Drag the app to the trash bin.” Remember how hard it is to uninstall stuff on Windows? Especially if you’re doing more than one?

My house similarly has two post codes. Only one is official, though. Google Maps lists the incorrect value, so it’s easy to see who simply googled the street address, eg the real estate agent who listed it. Both post codes are fine for deli

What CO2 is a Game Boy producing? You could maybe argue that mining Bitcoin using power hungry hardware in a country with a poor track record of green energy (eg USA) isn’t great for the planet. But a Game Boy? More energy is wasted doing j

One reason I’m opposed to adware on desktop is because it often leaks into the entire computer. If I install FileZilla and is has ads only in the application, I would probably consider that acceptable. But instead, ads show up in my web b

There’s a whole economy around buying and selling carbon footprints. If you run a factory that does nothing but release CO2 into the atmosphere, you can legally be “carbon neutral” as long as you give enough money to green companies who do
