Hey, author here. Good point, I did look at it some initially but because it's now separate from the rest of the categories on the App Store I must've glossed over it in the end. I'll make sure to include it in the follow up

I had the same thought. Presumably, as long as you hold one EU citizenship you're still eligible, even if you're also a UK citizen.

There's another angle to this that was discussed on the Risky Business[0] podcast a while back, namely the security angle. As the recent Microsoft Team's vulnerability[1] illustrated, with many Electron apps any XSS vulnerability

It depends on what your goal is. If you believe that programming is a craft, akin to woodworking, then you'll soon realise you need to practice and work to put in the 10,000 hours to master it. Yes the list in the OP doesn't make

Author here, I'll try and write a response to your points. Yes the post is cynical, I'm the first to admit that. The topic makes me angry because I think we should expect better of frameworks for the web. As a whole Flutter Web mo

Yeah I agree with the points about using your own stack, it's building towards the lowest common denominator that is the sockets support in libc. I think it should be possible to link against the platform libraries, but it's more

Yeah that’s definitely a strength of Kotlin multi platform. My general point is that doing cross platform UI specifically leads to poor experiences, whereas sharing non UI code doesn’t have that issue

I am very unconvinced by cross platform UI solutions, as such I like the idea of Kotlin Multiplatform. Sharing non UI code has always been possible via C/C++, but it suffers from several issues not the least of which is having to write

I’ve discussed this with colleagues over lunch several times. The idea wouldn’t exactly be random, we’ve discussed a hash of the current date modulo some number of choices. So for any frequent choices, come up with n options and then take
