These satellites are likely too small to support a proper positioning system. They would need the radio transmitters, power system, and clocks all redesigned at which point you have an entirely new satellite.

Is this really true though? Most states report separate numbers for cases and confirmed cases as well as deaths and confirmed deaths. In Texas there is something like a 3 order of magnitude difference between the number of reported cases

Modern farming is heavily dependent on positioning and weather satellites. The quality of these services scale with density and SpaceX lowers launch costs which allows more satellites which in turn will create more efficient harvesting and

Yes, that would commonly be called circular wavegguide. The issue with using waveguide is that it is very expensive to run over distances. WR-75 flexible waveguide, for instance, costs roughly $1k/ft.

While there are some truly staggering examples of US college loan debt, the average loan debt at the end of a 4 year degree in the US is $26k or about the price of a new mid range car. For the majority of people, their total college loan d

Running old software on new hardware is by far the best user experience that I've had. Everything is blazing fast to the point of feeling instantaneous. Unfortunately it's getting harder and harder to keep things running with var

For $35 most of the scope you see are going to be repurposed sound card chips acting as a digitizer. They work ok-ish but you get what you pay for. My big problem with a USB oscilloscope is that they are only ground referenced through the

First off, Ethics course requirements are incredibly common in engineering studies and I've never heard someone accuse lawyers of enforcing ethics. They enforce law and contracts, and are inherently reactive. The existence of lawyers

This recommendation only specifies 9 credit hours (at most) a semester which free study in the 4th year. I know that you have to build in room for your cross discipline and electives, but it's not a very tight schedule. Which is good

FR1 (the low band 5G) is capable of greater carrier aggregation and denser QAM modulation than LTE-A so it can achieve higher bandwidths than LTE-A under good conditions. It also has better latency and congestion controls which should provi

There exists a fundamental level of electrical noise at all frequencies typically controlled by the background temperature that sets the minimum level of signal you can resolve before it gets washed out in noise. GPS uses multiple coherent

The wiring thing highlights the problem I think. He was the hardware manager but he didn't actually have control over the direction of the hardware team. That's a terrible position to be in. Also, don't underestimate wiring

I wonder why this is done through the Department of Education and if they will continue such a program when schools are back in session. People normally don't like a bunch of random adults hanging around schools.

This is actually a pretty big deal if you work with high speed or rotating machines. Using an high flicker LED bulb over your lathe (for instance) can cause it to appear static when it is in fact running due to visual aliasing. There are
