Is it not insane to anyone else that we talk about only having 8 GB of ram with regards to the performance of mail and chat applications?
- nitrogen 6y agoSeriously... 8GB is an ocean. People were reading and editing HTML email in the days of 16MB.
- efreak 6y agoHTML has changed since then, though. HTML email might basically be stuck with whatever old version of HTML, but nobody writes an HTML renderer just for email--they embed a fully functioning browser engine in the mail client (or write the client itself to run in the browser).
