I really appreciate your efforts. One of the most frustrating things to encounter as a student doing research is a pay-wall. Regardless if such kind of search was available before or not, many people, like the author of the linked article,

You can probably find a more accurate description somewhere else, but here is a TL;DR version: In order to receive notifications without a push notification service like Google Cloud Messaging (GCM), every app would have to a) poll for upda

I live in China and I use MicroG / NOGAPPS since the early days. But I really don't see why it should be of any interest for the average Chinese user? The is a very healthy Android ecosystem here in China, independent of Google. F

The problem is that it operates on an abstract interface but it is NOT generic. With any Generics implementation that generates code for the specific type under the hood (e.g. at compile-time like C++ Templates or Rust Traits, or just-in-ti

GPGTools (MailGPG etc) and rustc / cargo stable are broken with macOS Sierra. Moreover there seem to be a few memory leaks. Finder eats up more and more RAM until it requires a force-relaunch. Unfortunately the same seems to be true fo

I think it would still be interesting. Win10 + Edge vs macOS + Safari. In the end the user does not care which OS runs in the background, just which platform offers the best experience - in this case the longest battery time.
