I don't think my survival hinges on my reluctance to read AI slop. The ship has not sailed, I can just find a human who wrote words, and read them. And if they aren't human words, I will just, not read them.

AI generated text isn't so hard to detect that people could get away with it. As long as you are reading a well reviewed book the chance of AI slop is very low.

The average children's cartoon from the early 2000s has several orders of magnitude more value than the average tiktok feed. The existence of slop in the 90s doesn't prove that slop is not more prominent in the 2020s.
