Instead of going after the cheaters/cheat makers, maybe they should have better cheat detection and harsher punishments.

Why? Incompetence will always exist. Now youre just wanting to stifle the free internet.

"The lack of real bool" -Which is fine as the minimum space it would take to store a bool is 1 byte anyway (unless youre using bitflags), and you probably want to give more detailed information than true/false anyway "bu

It never was fraudulent, first planned obsolesence and now they're trying to control who can repair. Honestly disgusting.

I don't see the point considering it takes about 5 minutes to setup OpenVPN on a server? Am I missing something?

Hard pass. I dont want an "intelligent" search I just want a search. Will be sticking with Agent Ransack.

It seems like a cool concept however when I use it the image comes out as near-pure black, everything seems to be incredibly dark for some reason.

My metric was until the loading bar finished on the little fancy but useless opening letter animation which also probably took a significant time to load.

I mean... if it takes 23 seconds to load on my machine, and the old version took less than 3, maybe its not worth maintaining the new version to begin with. Just a thought.

Nice. Good insult. I'm not allowed to be skeptical of a crowdfunded project when there is very little evidence to persuade me that they can actually do it just because it's ran by a woman now?

If you read into it, the new Code of Conduct actually may actually do more to ostracize people. Notable contributors have already been harassed on Twitter and other platforms because apparently their actions outside of the Linux Kernel and

There is no reason for a blockchain here. A database would suffice just fine. It's not even decentralized so what's the point?

The majority of people don't download the JDK via this method (eg. a package manager) and will miss that big box about a license change. Edit: Plus even if they aren't you still have the general mindset of "next next install

What I mean is, what a person would honestly consider a service (such as e-mail, a website, a git server), not a technical definition of a service (a database, dovecot, php). I should have been more clear.

Oracle seriously needs to be fought in court about this and their other actions. They're actively hostile to the whole tech community and their entire business model is based on trapping people into paying for things by not making thei

I agree, weak passwords are a big issue. I see your point about bruteforcing that key, however I was more talking about bruteforcing the password. Servers have been stolen in the past, and I am not just talking about a big rack server here.

Okay, but if my password is complex enough and there is no known data inside the encrypted data then I do not see how bruteforcing would be a viable option. Even with a chain of trust, what is to stop someone desoldering the storage chip of

DRM restrictions like this are always a joke - HDCP was a great one. Also, I doubt many people are going to be getting their Netflix captures/dumps from an Android device anyway so its a useless restriction, they'll be doing it on
