That's brutal. Any chance you could point me towards resources that explain what we know of the superchiasmatic nucleus, circadian clock and regulation. I have a somewhat rigid tendency to live on 25 hour days which is typically an hon

I disagree; guitar has multiple fingerings for each note or chord and it's not necessarily clear which one will be the simplest to use when given regular staff notation. There's a huge jump in the complexity of how you need to rea

How many schools successfully do the well-rounded bit? How many students care? I had a 1.8 average in general studies and a 3.5 average in math / CS, so there's my bias. And honestly the CS and math was poorly taught most of the t

There has to be something way more awesome than a diamond ring that costs a bundle. I'm probably fucked; I don't like hanging on to stuff as momentos. That goes double for expensive momentos. Triple if it breaks some societal norm

We aren't necessarily giving advice, just choosing who to fund. It's hard to ask a group of developers for general feedback because it will be "here's how I would do your thing". Asking very specific questions might

Well, I could do it, change it to a more neutral example, then take a screenshot of your post and merge it to the repo. This would take maybe 2 hours (but I am familiar with git). Fixing it would go very far to prove that you are sincere ab

Its probably only a half-step up, but signal's client (and server?) are open source. You could compile your own to avoid problems with the binary blob being different. Maybe you could run your own server to dish out keys, but that may

I'd really like the option to send SMS to non-whatsapp users with a GUI signaling that this is happening (and an option to disallow this). Balancing multiple text clients sucks.

Partially. I don't smoke much anymore, but when I do I'm still high functioning. Part of that is I know my cutoff point and part may be that I have a great deal of practice doing things high and know how to compensate for the down

This is great. Dwarf Fortress is a huge part of the reason I became a programmer. Maybe that's why I'm a bit disappointed now that I actually am one, but that's life :p.

Maybe. Everyone else here seems to think they could do better (or that it could be done better). I'm sure that's not at all inspired by this attempt.

SSA is extremely well studied and algorithms for it are fast.

Its not that ironic. SSA has the property that it's interference graphs are chordal and thus can be colored (an NP problem) in polynomial time. Aka, we can do optimal register allocation really fast. Among other benefits. It doesn'

Maybe, but consider it as one of many possible solutions we could have for the 'ad-blocking problem'. It's not really clear which solutions will take hold, but this is ideal for those that block ads for privacy and intrusiven

Depends on your perspective. I try to stay the hell away from ads (ads are generally not a good method to discern how to think or buy things) and don't buy all that much anyway; the ideal personalization for me is ads that are in-depth

When I learn something completely new, the biggest obstacle is often finding a good source of information and path to learn it on. School definitely has it down once you hit graduate classes (and they often have free accompanying material!)

It doesn't. At worst if you do it all the time you may need a week to a month for your brain to recover. Perhaps paradoxically, I really enjoy programming a lot more when I smoke and tend to spontaneously work on things much more frequ
