I initially zoomed into Paris and was very unimpressed with the 3D view as all of Paris was flat. However, I tried clicking on "See all cities" in the top right, found my city, Toronto, and took a look. http://i.imgur.com/ldgtc.jpg VERY i

I really like the idea (as many others here seem to!) but there's an inherent problem with going beyond the US: some of the funny content is not available to the rest of us. I was voting on some dog against a door stop, which was nice, but

Funny, I was contemplating something similar for the Canadian version. May I ask where you got the source for the transcripts of C-SPAN from?

There were a few technical aspects that he clearly lied about (like not using Etags for his cookies) but aside from that, is there anything else that makes them "very shady"? I ask because I'm curious. Other than this episode, I haven't r

Considering how well Jacques presented his arguments and experience, I'd say that this is one of the better examples of public flogging. It seems like he's spent an extended amount of time complaining to internal channels, and he just neede

I gave Popcorn a whirl after watching this video. For full disclosure's sake, I'm a rather experienced videographer with years of experience using Final Cut Pro. I knew not to expect the moon with Popcorn, but they have a lot of work ahead

In my opinion, this state of mind still exists in Canada. Entrepreneurship is being celebrated, but the default for many, many students is to get a job with a large corporation and get your stripes.

I posted this in the comments of OP's blog post, but I figure some other HNers could use the clarification around YouTube. --- Hey Scott, Simple video and it works - definitely better than many other product promo videos I've seen in my tim

From what I've noticed on many of the top YouTube channels I subscribe to, many have merch to sell and other side projects that earn them a little more money. Not to mention that several producers have multiple channels, where they use the

I'm pretty sure Elon Musk himself said that he works his Tesla employees hard - he asks for people who are passionate about their mission, and that they know that they will be taking a pay cut, as they are a startup, in exchange for being w

As per the recent test, I think a lot of latency issues have become less pronounced. Only in 'Dome Deathmatch' did I really see any glaring movement issues. There are still plenty of funny movement related issues because of latency, but the

Thanks! I've come to the same conclusions (regarding the quality of visitor) for the very same reasons. Very much just a cheap way to get traffic, but not the best quality at all. Did the 'organic campaign' result in higher quality visitors
