That sounds good, but having no demographic stats is the opposite of sunlight. I don't believe it makes systemic racism go away, it just sweeps it under the rug.

Not relevant to the original topic, but yeah. I'm still an individual, private user of dyn, and when oracle bought them, what they charge me jumped significantly. Moving to another provider is just low enough on my priority list that i

Didn't read every word of that, but it seemed a particularly long-winded version of Moore's Law.

Pretty sure AI, like fusion, is the technology of the future and always will be. When we solve the halting problem, AI can write software. Until then, it's Intelligence Augmentation, not AI, and humans will remain in the loop.

2nd. I'm a heavy org-mode user but the problem w/org-mode is that it's got emacs in front of it, and you are just not going to get uptake. Pandoc's not really a solution, either, apart from a one-time extraction of org

On a quick scan, I'm not seeing any mention of OS/2, but I feel like this extensible behavior of the shell first showed up there. Not sure if that was an IBM thing or a Microsoft thing (or both), but it was WAY WAY WAY different f

Yeah, i forgot to add my thoughts on PowerShell. It's great for Windows and nothing else. Its power isn't syntax (which is a bit weird) but the fact that it interfaces with all the Windows APIs. I can't really imagine it on a
