In the end this is really a competition question and whether or not Apple has engaged in anti-competitive behaviour. I remember the days when Apple was pushing to break up Microsoft for including free software (Internet Explorer) in Windows

That's not a great example as it turned out (years later when the raw data came out) that Gore in fact won Florida. So their overnight decision was objectively wrong.

I'm still using the last Macbook Pro without a touchbar, and plan on not upgrading until either this dies, or Apple decide to make a laptop with a full keyboard. If it dies before that, it's Hackintosh or Linux time. It honestly

The fact that it was unanimous really drives home how obviously illegal it was. I would love to see a direct criminal or civil consequence for this, as it negatively affected the rights of all UK citizens.

The quality isn't necessarily worse. Vinyl is analogue, and so good quality vinyl has a different sound to the same audio played from a CD. That isn't to say that all vinyl is better, just that the best vinyl is better than the

Why wouldn't the QC at NASA include testing at independent labs for anything mission critical? That seems like a failure on NASA's part as much as it is fraud by the supplier.

In the Netherlands, if you have a child under 9 years old (it could be 8), your company is required, by law, to let you work 4 days a week if your want. It's actually really common with something like 28% of working men taking a "

One of the many things that I love about the Netherlands is the lack of tipping in the culture. People get paid a decent wage, and so tipping is only something done if the service is amazing.

There is zero incentive for any EU country to be flexible with the UK exiting the EU, as that would incentivise even more disruption. If you cancel your membership at a club, you shouldn't expect to maintain some membership benefits o

In other news, about 2% of the US counties have about 51% of the population. The problem isn't the distribution, it's the rate of murders when compared with other industrialised states.

There are 8 billion humans. So we should be allowed to hunt a few hundred thousand a year without anyone having a problem with it. The problem isn't primarily about the numbers of minke whales. It's that they are hunting what ma
