In the end this is really a competition question and whether or not Apple has engaged in anti-competitive behaviour. I remember the days when Apple was pushing to break up Microsoft for including free software (Internet Explorer) in Windows operating systems. It's amazing how "principles" change depending on whom they are being applied to.
