To be fair though, I don't think that's a huge problem. Plenty of excellent static site generators exist (I use Jekyll) and truth be told if you want any real level of functionality this probably isn't the service for you any

To be honest it doesn't surprise me hugely. Whilst jQuery is hardly the best choice these days the simple fact is that such a ridiculous amount of libraries and plugins use it that it's sort of hard to avoid it. Don't get me

Whilst I'm pretty heavily experienced in Rails I'm less-so in Django. If I had to guess Rails being dreaded is down to experienced Rails veterans wanting to move onto the new hotness, and the rise of Python / Django being sim

If memory serves the SPI bus thing is down to the UEFI - that is, when you boot into Windows, for example, it uses it via the USB bus. I can't remember the reasoning for this.

If I had to guess, they reduce the censorship during the day to lessen the effect on businesses. In the evening it's primarily going to be people using the internet at home, which they'll want to control more tightly.

To be fair I've heard it varies a lot depending on the season in Mumbai. I was in Mumbai in December and it was honestly fine, at least in my opinion.

I actually agree with this. From what I've read this new legislation pretty much just puts into writing what was already effectively the case for most people.

By default this is the case but once you learn how macOS is pretty keyboard friendly. I love the ability to set up a keyboard shortcut for literally anything, including third party software, through system preferences. Only complaint is you

I think it depends largely on what OS you're sing. On macOS it's really a non-issue because it handles alt + whatever key remarkably well. Windows can be a huge pain however.

Indeed. Some years ago I was working on a project where I decided one day to rip Bootstrap out and reimplement everything that Bootstrap did with my own CSS. In the end I ended up pretty much just recreating Bootstrap, and after a few month

To be fair, is this not at least partially the fault of the employer for not ensuring that they had adequate cover?

Indeed - they're pretty lax as countries go and there's other ways as well. Only downside is it's virtually impossible for a foreign citizen to get permanent residency for China, so you'll be renewing that visa every two

This. I'll admit I don't use it much (it isn't really appropriate for a lot of what I do), but it is genuinely a wonderful instrument.

The fact that you can't change the nameservers doesn't make them not a registrar. They absolutely are a registrar. Just one that doesn't let you change the nameservers. But you know what? I'm okay with that. I honestly c

To be fair, in my experience, even with less technically savvy clients I'm seeing less and less interest in WordPress. I'm well aware that it's still very, very popular with a lot of people, but in terms of where the work and

Not to mention that fixing it for one browser may well break it for another. Usually it leads to compromising but even then still favouring one browser (usually Chrome) over another.

In fairness though I'd say the issue is far less pronounced with desktop and laptop hardware than it is with mobile devices. I can get a PC from 10 years ago and install Windows 10 and it'll most likely run absolutely fine - reall

Actually if memory serves the Pentium 4s below 3Ghz won't run Windows 10 because they don't support the necessary CPU instructions. I seem to distinctly remember it failing to boot on a 2.8Ghz Pentium 4.

In fairness I don't think this was necessary for the celebrity leaks. With a celebrity, with much of their lives being public knowledge I can imagine it was probably easy enough to guess their security questions.

As far as I'm aware it's only available via a volume licensing agreement. Enterprise still doesn't let you disable telemetry though - just lets you set it to basic. If you want to disable it fully you need the LTSB version.
