If you're a Windows user, running Docker in WSL _is_ running it in Linux.

You could just opt for the regular Docker for Windows approach, instead. Although I honestly only ran Docker in WSL on Windows, but haven't tried with Windows 11.

True. But if they are having a problem getting that done, adding a surcharge is a good way to get bottom-up pressure on AWS teams to finish the job.

I’m old enough to have heard this theory with a few different variations, now, and I can’t help but hear the racial dog whistle undertones, even if the person making the argument doesn’t intend that. I don’t think there is any logical progr

I was going to suggest @Nullable Partners Contact[], but Integer with a default value of 0 is probably simpler.

I happen to know other folks who also “actually do work” who prefer watching a video explainer. I usually prefer text, but sometimes people document features better in vocal conversation vs writing.

Postman is great for sharing API collections with others, especially if they aren’t a developer. Adding type safety to it is a great way to provide hints for acceptable values.

Lawns reduce the air and ground temperature significantly. Even if you have a shortage of water in your area, finding a way to maintain a natural lawn has benefits. That isn’t the same as maintaining a golf course, but watering a lawn to ke

Comments like this really make me angry. As if the stigma surrounding getting help with your mental health weren’t enough, people feel the need to specifically attack parents seeking help for their children as lazy and uninterested in “trul

I’ve slowly moved towards pushing any serious modifications of my system to a container or vm. The cost of messing something up, in terms of lost productivity alone, just isn’t worth it.

The point is that you could use those locations if you wanted, but many apps don’t make it easy to make them respect your desired config.

The arrogance is pretending that user configs and wishes can be arbitrarily dismissed because you can’t be bothered to adhere to them. My computer is mine, not the app maker’s.

I thought about this, too. One fix would be for ssh to make a solid process that walks you through setting up your ssh config. Then it could be placed anywhere you like, and the preference would be set. Those docs would just reference the s

I don’t think there’s a rule that you have to respond with zip bombs, but it’s plainly impolite not to. This whole comment section has me wondering if an internet-connected tea pot should respond to all requests with a 418 status code.

Most of the changed emphasis in the article is very similar to American English. But “says” with a long a is an odd one. I’ve heard it pronounced that way by a few Brits, and it still takes me a minute.

There is a standard for HTTP status codes that has dictated what web servers “should” do for quite a while, now. Most web servers respond properly with a 404 “out of the box”, when asked to serve up content that doesn’t exist.

JavaScript allows you to access and define object properties in several ways. The key thing to know here is that obj.foo, obj[“foo”], and obj[myProp] are all equivalent, where foo is a property of obj, and myProp is a variable containing th
