Also NAP, but how is a time crystal different than the metamaterial used for a time mirror, wouldn’t a reversed light beam be reversed again, when it is reflected?

According to TFA, it’s different. > Just a few months after developing the device, Alù and his colleagues observed more surprising behavior when they tried creating a time reflection in that waveguide while shooting two beams of light at

I feel like this is similar to “Disabling UAC is the first thing I do, because it causes problems”.

For standard apps, I agree. But being able to change the default version of Python, NodeJS, etc. just by running brew install is a lot easier than using apt/apt-get. They just aren't made to support that kind of scenario.

I’m honestly not sure why they would stick to BSD. The first thing many folks do when they start a Mac is install Gnu Tools and other things to make it more like Debian.

I have used brew on Linux for dev tooling, because it’s so easy to switch versions.

Doesn’t seem like a bad trade off for not having to replace your rim, if the tire blows out and you’re unable to stop.

That’s correct. I didn’t know the EV vehicles were only keyless.

I also have this memory. The A/C is a heat pump that just pulled heat to/from the radiator, which is used for both the engine and the A/C. So turning on the heat causes the thermostat to be tripped faster (or so I was told),

My newest vehicle is 12 years old, is paid for, can pull a (rented) trailer if needed, can fit my entire family plus dog and groceries, and has low insurance rates. The downside is that it gets 18/20 mpg. I’ve never bought a new vehicl

Kia and Hyundai have done an excellent job with the design of their newer cars. However they’ve done an incredibly poor job with vehicle security. My wife is an insurance broker, and several of the bigger insurance companies will not even i

I don’t have any issues with sleep and this medication, but I take it pretty early (usually 5:30/6). It is well over by bedtime.

It would be great if we could extend the parser for “ruf” str prefixes in Python to add new string functionality. I’m sure we could subclass str, but using something like rn”XV” would be much nicer!

Perhaps, but it’s also very odd, and potentially confusing.

I think borrowing object creation via spreading from JS would be a great option for this. The prefix would be the double , which would also differentiate it from a set. Something like def foo(long_argument1: str, long_argument2: str)

I have the same setup you mentioned, but instead of Paramount I use Apple TV (mostly because it’s bundled with my backup and music cost). I also still have Netflix.

I’m not sure how this would happen, if your case fits the phone correctly. When I put a MagSafe case on my phone, I get an animation showing that it fit. Subsequent attachment of MagSafe components just need to align with the case, since th

Excel pivot tables won’t work if the file banner is invalid in Windows, too. This happens a lot for me when I open an Excel attachment, because macOS will put brackets in the file name.

I really hate the db-as-code paradigm. It leads to magic that is invisible to the app layer, and leads to a lot of unintended consequences.

The frame job is not a stretch. I’ve seen spear phishing campaigns that spanned weeks to convince someone that’s request to transfer money, at the very end, was legit. Some of the intermediate emails were pretty innocuous.

I’m not sure how that is any more true for Apple vs Google? Every tech company relies heavily on China for business.
