This is really huge. If a script is going to be used by anyone other than yourself, it needs to be readily accessible (e.g. understood) for the group that will be using it.

I didn’t read all of the comments, but it seems to me that the interaction at the beginning of the thread is pretty close to how polite, respectful online conversations should be carried out. I don’t use Prettier, but this is my own choice,

Did they edit the article after you posted this comment? Even if they did, I can see how the tone of “should not be” (which you can’t really hear in text, of course) would mean something different than the way you understood it. This is how

It wasn’t illegal, and maybe isn’t (although I thought it was). I know that I was impacted by this as a college student, and ended up paying hundreds of dollars in fees for a single weekend. I had OD protection fees and “bounce fees” for th

Consumers don’t use ACH for very much. Businesses utilize ACH a lot, because despite the additional time lag, it’s free.

I really like this package, because it not only uses the method you mentioned for checking types, but is written in TS, so you get the type checking feedback. https://github.com/sindresorhus/is

Not really a disagreement with pjmlp, but MS has had several internal projects like this, where they create an “ideal state” for some part of their software portfolio, then incorporate learned lessons into their existing software packages.

That feels like a leap too far. ChatOps should be a convenience, not the sole method of doing something. However conveniences are important.

Side thought: it always annoys me when people change a subject line. I think I get it - it’s like a subliminal or contextual message. But it still seems odd and off, sort of.
