I just looked at different benchmarks and the general consensus seems to be that latest Radeon and Nvidia cards are quite similar in performance. Nvidia seems to lead in raytracing and upscaling but in my opinion only the upscaling part is

You can run native apps from Kodi. I used to launch Steam games in Big picture mode from Kodi just fine. Actually I was waiting for a desktop environment like this Plasma Bigscreen for a while but then got a new TV with Android and use that

I personally know people who were successfully mining crypto using GPUs in the last couple of years. If it was Bitcoin, Ethereum or Doge, I don't know and it doesn't matter to me. As soon as the crypto prices came down this year,

Installing new hardware doesn't happen often and it shows the unlicensed watermark when booted from Virtualbox, but booting natively restores the activation status.

When I don't need Windows for gaming, I just boot the physical windows partition from Linux using Virtualbox. This way I don't even have to hibernate and interrupt any work.

You can generate keys off-yubikey and store them in a safe encrypted backup somewhere offline/online/wherever. Then just import those keys into yubikey and use that. Ideally though you would rotate keys if you lost your yubikey be

You can just use TOTP for 2AF. Those can be stored and generated by almost anything these days. For example Keepassxc, Bitwarden, Authenticator apps, most saas password storage services, yubikeys, etc.

Probably because Windows Explorer is great file manager. By the way, in Nautilus you can type path, the shortcut is ctrl+l Nautilus is pretty bad but I find macOS Finder even worse.

I have it at my home office, so the PC is always next to it. I am using good open-back headphones (DT 990 PRO) connected to a USB audio interface that supports low latency using ASIO driver on Windows and JACK on Linux (in my case UMC204HD)

Oh, and I would never actually use the copper cables with RJ45 for anything above 1 gigabit. Those ethernet cards heat up a lot, use too much energy. This would be a bad investment. Get a proper patch or optical cables and use SFP+ instead.

For a moment I thought about setting up 10GbE at home, but then I realized there is no point yet because my external connection to internet is limited to 1 gigabit. The only use internally would be central storage server. But all the new NV

If you compare it to an out of the box service from cloud vendor, then yes, it does take a bit more time, but not that much more time. For long running projects it is certainly worth to invest into proper setup. It really is a lot cheaper i
