It's very clearly a lot more than just commented code. They are examples/snippets of common patterns.

With regards to financial transactions et al - it's not the same. You can't open a credit card and then demand they delete your personal info. You can't move money around banks and then expect them to "forget" you.

Assuming this blog is accurate - Yeah this is bad. I am actually amazed it's that bad. Surely it's not meant to be this bad? How on earth do they have a UK banking license? I wasn't aware of this before, but just searching fo

Wow they seem really hell-bent on implementing this given they lost/settled a suit in California for it, and now have been "found out" in Aus, too.

Blank keys helped me to (touch) type more efficiently, I was already able but I did find myself often looking at the keyboard anyway so I fancied buying a Das Keyboard Ultimate (also partly for the geek factor). I now use a variety of keybo

I understand now, the headline reads "Florida Man arrested" and then the article will have "Bob Bobbinson was arrested today for ..."
73.
by Jestar342 6y ago
Well that's just taking things too literally. I meant the whole article would use "Florida man" instead of a name.

With the size of air-coolers these days, and how they all have integrated heat pipes, I'm beginning to wonder if we've crossed the distinction barrier with liquid-coolers. Holy moly is that a big heatsink.

Jesus this is the kind of handwringing excuse Trump could only dream of coming up with on his own. So your own sexism is the fault of women or non-white men getting promoted on merit. That is weapons grade bullshit.

I don't really care for the distinction is my point. It's valuable and that's all that matters.

Vehemently disagree. Unit tests are subset of automated tests.

by Jestar342 6y ago
This kind of categorising I've always found to be orthoganal to what should really be the measure of "does it deserve a [unit] test?" . I believe the correct way to assess how much (if any) automated testing at whatever level
