Very interesting, particularly the parts where the goals he describes wander off from where Apple is today. For instance... The Internet is nothing new. It has been happening for 10 years. Finally, now, the wave is cresting on the general

They dropped the price of DRM-free tracks to be the same as DRMed tracks way back, and during the first quarter of last year they removed DRM from all of the songs in their library. Some music videos are still DRMed, but all songs are DRM-f

It may also be worth nothing that those not located in America can't simply use a proxy to access Hulu because Flash doesn't obey system proxy settings -- a VPN is required. If strong region-restriction is a priority of Hulu's then this cou

YouTube using H264 initially may just have been because they already have their videos H264-encoded, because that's what they use for the high-res content in their Flash player. They may also be selecting it because of Chrome's support, but

For someone who's not familiar with Ruby, what advantages does this provide over the built-in hash method on objects?

The fact that we're posting on this site is pretty good proof that we're not a good example of the average user.

Do you have any experience with programming in any languages previously, even if it was a long time ago? Some of the other resources people have posted are certainly good if you want to understand the more theoretical side of programming, b
