I feel pretty lucky, meetings are rare for me, just shoot an IM. "I'm working on XYZ, almost done. What do you want me to work on next?" or "Hey Bob are you done with that test environment" etc. I might go have one-

I wouldn't really call it stupidity, more like lack of information. If I'm never told that antibacterial soap can harm the environment, then I might just show up at the store, see that one seems to be "better" and grab t

$100 is a lot of money for a lot of people. A lot of poor people do not have free time to earn it-- they're going to school and using their minimum wage money to eat. I slept on the floor and worked 16 hour days to be able to get my ed

I had two recently (renewed, then moved states). I've been able to use my temp ID at several bars & also to redeem tickets at an event. Sometimes they looked a little unsure for a moment, but they shrugged and went on with it.

I get the point of that, but doesn't that make it easy to "fake" a temp one because the temporary ones are really just printed on a poor inkjet printer?

Same. It actually takes them about a month to mail the plasticy version. I find it odd since I used to get the plasticy version while I was there at the DMV, but I figured it was probably more expensive to have one of those machines at all

Most of the people I have asked who haven't cut the cord say they don't know how to set it all up or think it will be more complicated to use. And/or they do not have internet at their house, only use the internet on their ph

I do the same thing, 30 minute stints, 3-5 minute breaks. Occasionally if I'm really rolling I'll just keep going but I generally make sure to stop for breaks. The key is to do things that won't get you mentally distracted, h

A good explanation doesn't matter-- users frequently don't even read the message. They just hit the button, because they just want to get on to whatever it is they want to be doing.

Depends on where you live in the US I think. From my experience people in the city (with more restaurants around them) eat out far more.

Well just making sure people are finding what they want is only part of it. Since so much of their revenue is from ads, the better their targeting, the more money they make. If they have all this data on a person, they can target on a per p

That seems like quite a natural thing to collect to improve their search algorithm at the very least. "Are people finding what they're looking for?" basically.

That's exactly what my post said. It says women can work on internalizing confidence, but we should also try to figure out why large amounts of women have less confidence compared to men, and work on that too. Discrimination comes into
