If I have something to say I will say it irrelevant of how I feel it will perceived and/or affect my karma. I do find it helps me concentrate on "unstupidifying" what I've got to say though. Nobody wants to see me explain myself 5 times bec

I had a very similar problem with Thunderbird. I couldn't find my mail half of the time. I gave up in the end and now just access the web interface.

I know a lot of 'hardcore' geeks see ICHC and lolcats as lame, but I can't help but feel a little bit more cheerful after a quick browse on the ICHC website.

I'm guessing you've never seen the age-old "Internet's worst domain names" or whatever it's called this week? Features the likes of PenIsland and TherapistFinder...

I think it's the passion for what they do that differentiates a "rock star" from someone who just does it for the pay. You can have passion without being holed up in your bedroom programming 24/7.

I unexpectedly got 20,000+ u/hits from StumbleUpon to a dynamic PHP page last year on a shared hosting account and there wasn't even a blip - how much traffic are you expecting exactly? I just wonder if you're unnecessarily wasting effort..

Justifying something "because someone else does it like that" is akin to childhood playground antics. "But miss, I only kicked him because he kicked me first!" As my mum always says: two wrongs don't make a right.

Odd. I had a hotmail account several years ago and left it abandoned for about 8 months & when I finally checked it, it hadn't been deleted.
