I thought so too. I did wonder if it's being labelled as 0day because a different patch was released yesterday (but surely that would only work if the patch was directly related to the latest exploit?) Of course, I could just be over-analys

I once commented on an article on noupe that was inaccurately labelling PHP's $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] "insecure, because it allows hackers to search your entire server!" The owner deleted my comment, and then pasted my personal details (e-mail

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a lady at the bank once. Lady: "What do you do, then?" Me: "I'm a web developer" Lady: "Oh, so a web designer!" Me: "Er, close, I'm a web developer - I make designs work" Lady: "Oh, I get it! So

I am also a comfortable Windows user. I was 'forced' on to a Mac when I started my current job and had quite a few difficulties (although some were related to the fact that, as a UK-er, I'm used to a traditional British English keyboard lay

When I first started my job (where I am now) they put on a Mac. My biggest pet peeve as a developer was having to use a keyboard shortcut to get # instead of being able to press 1 key. (There were other keyboard issues too, but these were s

I didn't think mqt's response was remotely condescending, and I'm the queen of "I'm just trying to help" bitchiness. I think you need to be aware that not everyone who disagrees with you or fails to kiss your ass is trolling. Or, in true tr

I did think of that, and while some are all-male, it was hard to tell with the rest because they had no obvious author list. Even so, the 'various' blogs are in a minority, so even if every one had a female author, it'd be heavily biased to

Alexa has never been a good measure of traffic. My blog has a much higher Alexa rank than pownce but has half the unique hits (based on numbers given above). I skewed my rank myself using the SearchStatus plugin for Firefox.
