You use Hacker News, you don't fall in to my teen category. :) (That's a compliment.) Have a look at some of the sites here if you have time: rev.iew.me/users & you'll see what I mean. For the record, I agree, code shouldn't have to com

I get that, but when I'm not browsing Hacker News I keep company with hundreds of teens who take code like this and implement it into their own sites, or edit it a bit and redistribute it. I think releasing code of this standard without spe

Is it just me or is there a total lack of input validation? mysql_real_escape_string isn't going to protect you from code injection...

My new apartment is starting to look a bit like this. 3 laptops, 2 netbooks, a big desktop, scanners, printers, etc... and there's only 2 of us. Time for a clean out :)

The comic strip is relevant to current news. The CSI episode in question aired months and months ago and has been done to death. (Google: 1,820 from reddit.com for gui visual basic)

I upvoted this one because gmail seemed more appropriate a link than twitter.

> Guess I get what I pay for. Great sentiment if you're using the free version, but we have clients hooked up to it paying £25 per account. Thankfully, only 1 has noticed so far and she was quite accommodating. :)

This isn't reddit. The CSI gui gag is not likely to get you massive upvotes here.

When I was a kid I had problems with one particular boy always copying my tests in school. I mentioned it to my mum and she suggested I write fake answers in pencil, wait for the boy to copy, and then go back and correct myself in pen. Simi

My partner and I have been together 8 years and do the majority of these things. However, I think after a while some are done out of habit, rather than an actual desire to keep things sweet. It doesn't hurt to be reminded that each other's

Congratulations axod! Mibbit is easy to use, and I rely on it when I'm out and about with no irc client. It's a credit to you - keep up the great work :)

This doesn't just apply to the corporate world. As a blogger, each time I blog in an authoritative manner I find more people bending over backwards to hear what I've got to say (even when I'm talking total rubbish.)

I prefer Mint (haveamint.com). It's not necessarily the script itself that makes it worthwhile, but the huge amount of plugins ("peppers") you can get to extend it.

If by no real difference you mean that one is a top level domain extension and the other is second level intended for personal sites, yes.. you're right. I'm UK based - I'm more likely to remember .me or .co.uk than I am .me.uk

I've not had problems getting (and keeping) users on a .me; but I'm not selling anything. I also have a fairly young audience (14-18 primarily). I'm sure both of these things have an effect.

Don't confuse .me and .me.uk - two different extensions. :)

I'm not Matt, so I could be way off, but when I first heard the name I associated "pigeon" with carrier pigeons. Almost like domain pigeon is powered by a carrier pigeon fetching you the latest domain results.

How apt. I'd just finished a blog entry on the sexism I suffer, and have always suffered, as a woman in IT. "Sociobiological reasons" aside, women in IT are leered at and heckled; their accomplishments are looked over in favour of male coll

jemjabella was nickname given to me about 10 years ago, and the tagline is intended as humour. I use it as a measure of whether or not people should read my site... i.e. if you find it funny, or are able to ignore the blatant egotism, then

Did you test it in IE before you made that comment? I ask because I'm now at work, and have access to a windows box with IE6 installed. Lo and behold, my examples work EXACTLY the same as they did in FF3. No nightmares involved. :)
