America is a story of people wanting to have their cake and eat it too. We want top notch public services but at the same time low taxes. I wish there was a straight forward way of comparing the value of the things your taxes get you versu

The residents can simply stop doing business with that particular freight company. Now that they know they operate unsafely from suffering permanent damage from chemical poisoning, they can make an informed decision on the free market.

One thing I don't see discussed much is how much users are empowered by being able to inspect the JavaScript that is sent to their machine. I can inspect every line of code before it executes. I can look at exactly what data is being s

Whether or not a court would ultimately decide an instance of CoPilot code is copyright infringement or not isn't the main issue in my opinion. The creating opportunities for other people to sue you will be much more damaging. Lawsuits

I just had to go through a lot of hoops to switch from a physical sim to a new esim on a new phone. My brother had a sim swap attack occur a couple of weeks ago in an attempt we think to get to the small bit of crypto he had. Apparently a s

Well the amount listed could be up to the developer. And it doesn't need to be an instant transaction, if the scope of work is large it could lead to negotiation on cost and expectations

What about a system that allows requiring a fee to "open an issue" or "file a bug report". GitHub could add that to the issue creator pretty easily. And maybe there could be tiers. Free issue == no guarantees. $5000 issu

In general that shouldn't be allowed. I believe on the latest versions of Android, both apps need to explicitly set which apps may have visibility of each-other. I think you can apply to Google to bless your app with visibility of all

My original comment does not insinuate that Google should cater to me at the expense of others. I'm hoping just to provide one data point that there is a segment of users who are under-served with the currently available search engines
