pg, will you be there? I know Y Combinator hasn't been reinventing venture capital (directly), but you've had a lot to say on the subject.

'agenda-less' might not be a good description, but I see what you mean. I'm not sure what a good term might be, but some good short descriptions might be 'altruistic endeavor' or 'pursuit of passion'.

Come to the Ignite Boston 4 event tonight: http://radar.oreilly.com/2008/09/ignite-boston-4-this-thursd... There will be a good-sized techie crowd there, in an informal networking environment. I'm sure you can make a better impression to

I'm always nervous before I give a speech. But being confident while actually giving it make huge improvements, and focusing on one person at a time definitely helps. There's an interesting public speaking class that I've heard about, where

I'm not making an argument for political correctness; there's a difference between censoring a community because its speech might offend someone, and moderating a community because it's trying to hurt someone.

Creative at what cost? The racism, sexism, and willful callousness of 4chan doesn't seem to be getting a lot of discussion in the latest round of media coverage (outside of FOX News "HACKER-PEDOPHILES ON THE INTERNETS" hysteria). "TITS OR G

There's nothing HN specific, but there's an OpenCoffee group for startup-types that meets Wednesday mornings, 9:00 AM, at Andala Coffeehouse in Central Square (Cambridge). Good crowd and good discussion there. Lots of good stuff on Meetup.c

Are you sure you linked to the right site? http://GetMusic.com seems to be a generic ringtone-purchase site. I don't see anything about music designed to boost concentration or memory.

Open Coffee's going strong and getting bigger lately (20 people or so at the last meeting). I'll be there in the morning, though I (and from my understanding, most people) arrive a bit later than the 'official' start time of 8:30. If we're
