If it was an X11 app, there are several things that can cause that that are just unfixable, unfortunately (e.g. XLockDisplay). If it was a Wayland app, that sounds like a bug in the compositor. If you still have a repro case, please file it

You seem to misunderstand the conversation; the OP was not looking for advice about their canceled app. They were relaying their experiences with Apple's bizarre policies. To switch topics from Apple to target the OP specifically is in

There's a bit more subtlety than that. If I press down on a button, then move my mouse off of it, it will be deselected. This is normal and not too hard to implement your model. But, if I keep my mouse button held down, and drag back o

Correct. In order to tell if a button is clicked, you need to know whether it was clicked last frame, which means keeping around state. One difficulty with immediate-style GUIs is that it's difficult to tell whether two widgets are &qu

So the thing that made Gimbal Lock click is a combination of two things: rotations are ordered, and euler angles (and fixed angles, its counterpart) are a combination of three different rotation motions. Effectively, since you have X Y Z, o

In this analogy, you are throwing away the instrumentation, like whether it was played on a piano or a tuba, but the raw melody is still there. This is the advantage of working in the frequency space. If we were in the time space, throwing

Right. The DCT, in theory, is completely lossless. But the reason that the "other space" is helpful for us for compression is because our eyes and ears are more interested in comparing relatively than absolutely. So you don'
