As a german I'm so jealous for the smart actions of our neighbors. We are always at least 10 years behind.

It‘s not zero VAT. It just reverses who has to pay the VAT. E.g Microsoft invoices me at 0% VAT but I have to report and pay 19% to the state. (b2b only)

Well you prefer punishment, Germany prefers reintegration. Destroying a persons life is a pretty good way to keep a criminal criminal.

Avoid investors. You don't need a huge team. Try to bootstrap everything, preferably on the side (can you reduce your work hours? I reduced my hours by 50%. I never had pressure to make money and developed the project for nearly two ye

As long as YCombinator allow users from Europe, they have to adhere to the rules. It does not matter whether there is a local entity or not, they serve European users. If a European company provides a service to US users, they have to adher

Is there some kind of Auto-i18n where the function sends a request to a server if there is no localization available? The server could in turn request a translation from a service and add it to the localization files

I'm using Digital Ocean App platform, which does pretty much everything for me. It's very simple to use. I can run my app as a single developer without caring about infrastructure for 99% of the time.

I'm now sometimes using GPT3.5 because it produces better results than GPT4. GPT4 was amazing when it first came out for me. Either it has deteriorated or I was lucky in the beginning and am now lucky with GPT3.5 from time to time.

The individual value of an IC outside of Meta is most certainly lower than what they get paid there. The company provides so much value that it raises the ICs value inside Meta. It's win-win.

Please tell me again how that has to do with my root post on this thread. but - okay, if you want to play this game - that has nothing to do with this thread: the renewables were built faster under Merkel than under the current coalition. G

I did not claim it is only to lower production - it's mainly due to it. Which is exactly my point. Renewables were not actively hindered, Germany just decided to stop paying 30-50 cent per kwh in subsidies because it's stupid. Als

Most of the population changed their mind and is pro-nuclear. But sadly the only party really supporting nuclear energy is the AfD, which is a far-right party most would never consider to vote for. Nuclear phase-out is part of the Green par

The reason does not really matter for the math. The record is due to lower production and not a rapid build-up of renewable energy production.

Germany also produced a multi year net electricity generation low in June. The rise mostly results from this reduction because of the nuclear phase out. These are not the actual numbers but an example: June 2022: renewables 15TWh, total 40T
