I don't think anyone, in the UK at least, thinks the NHS is free. Most people in the UK who describe it as "free" really mean "free at the point of use" (i.e. no invoice after treatment), but that's a bit of a

Model S "only" gets second highest rating in a single test. The headline is not only wrong (it aced all but one test, so didn't fall to ace "some tests"), but seems designed to make it sound much worse than the repo

The whole argument is built on ignoring the question "why aren't employers hiring young men" and asking the very presumptuous question "Why don't young men want to work?" I can't get access to the full pap

You seem to imply that Postgres isn't stable when in the fact the very opposite is true. Postgres is one of, if not the, most safe and stable relation database systems to ever exist. The fact that they keep adding or improving features

As someone who uses Twitter's APIs heavily, this is both encouraging, and slightly terrifying. We draw down a lot of data from Twitter. Obviously, we always want more data, so we got in contact with GNIP to see what we could afford (w

How often have you had to code up solutions to any of these challenges in the last two decades? These sort of challenges are great for learning some of the theory behind computer science and getting you thinking, but they're not a usef

Honestly, I think you'd learn more about a potential hire that way than by presenting them with these sort of challenges.

Not really. If anything it just makes coding challenges useless for distinguishing between people who can think, and people who can regurgitate. It's one thing to "know" how to balance a binary tree because you've read u
