I’m leasing a Honda E and software wise literally nothing except apple car play works/ is usable. Some things are absolutely safety relevant. But no one cares.

I also self host on a 4$ box. Quite impressive how much performance you get for that kind of money. Setting up and managing Postgres is a pain tho. Would be nice to have a simpler way of getting this all right.

If a type can't be mapped this should now fail at compile time instead of at runtime - which is an improvement. I can understand that this might be intrieging for newcomers. I've certainly learned the hard way that the only thing

This sucks for parking. It is simply (physically) not possible for the existing cameras to see the area directly in front of the car. So how would this work for parking? A: Add more cameras so there are no dead areas in front of the car B:

bold statement, as you claim that VS Code would fit the majority better than say $IDE from JetBrains. I don't know how you came to that conclusion but I'd guess that you mostly work on small projects? (where I'd say smallish

Agree. VS Code is simply not comparable to a full blown IDE. It's a text editor with some integrated language tooling.

Might be just me, but in larger teams it's annoying because not everyone knows the most recent features. I wrote C# daily before I switched to F# ~3 years ago and I sometimes struggle reading "modern" C# code. In C# you now o

The DarkLang project was originally written in OCaml and was recently ported to F# ( https://blog.darklang.com/new-backend-fsharp/ ) > How much work would it take in term of code rewriting? There are definitely code c

True. I really appreciate Don Syme for not adding too much to F#. It's a beautiful precise language as it is. I really don't like what has happened to C# is the past few years where features are just added blindly it seems. Curren

Yeah, I admit that as a daily F# user I jealously look at some OCaml features. For us the tooling + library ecosystem are more important to get sh* done.

Actually - you have a bunch of options for building web front ends in F# - via Fable (F# to JS Compiler) - WebSharper (tightly integrated web frontend and backend) - Blazor/Bolero Server Side (like phoenix live view) - Blazor/Bole
