I ran a competing project[0] on my home network for a few years before I discovered NextDNS[1]. What I lost in performance (requests don't leave my house) I gained in portability: ALL my devices can take advantage – at home and away –

My Hoover carpet cleaner stopped working sometime in the past few months (between uses). The suction would start up, but the "motor" part of it would not turn on when I went to use it. I disassembled it (as much as it's desig

We canceled our prime membership several months ago and have experienced zero difference in the delivery times or the benefits from Amazon. It makes me wonder what we were paying for before.

I was previously on a team that was adjacent to the team that was working on this tool. While I'm not surprised to see this outcome a few years later, a lot of those involved early on thought it was a bad idea. Funny to see it in the w

While I do see this as great news (for all the reasons others have outlined), I wonder how this will impact VC in the future; If the current goal is for companies to get VC money, burn that cash for years and years and years, and then have

Same, though it was painful. Took me ~6 months to go from 6-fingered pecking to full proficiency with split-keyboard Dvorak. 100% worth it, though.

I tried this recently after years of using YNAB. The UX is truly great, but it really doesn’t function as a budgeting app in the way that YNAB does. It’s closer to Mint and I ended up canceling after a week of the trial. A shame because it
