The alternative for "maximize" on Mac is to simply double click the Window, although some Windows do not have much of a "title" or "bar" to click on, because of modern simplification of GUIs, and this can cause

I would love to have a plain text "notepad" for iOS, because the built in app is horrendous and converts links to clickable hyperlinks. Etc. Hate that piss shit.

KDE is a better desktop environment than MacOS, by far. I have had so many usability issues with my Mac that does not exist in KDE/Linux. E.g. Apple confining the GUI and not including basic functionality. Specifically: - I really miss

That's extremely strange, because I do not have problems with speed. Perhaps it is something else interfering, a bad driver, or poor support for your paticular system? Typically things open near instantly for me. But, keep in mind in a

Compromised sessions is not necessarily a concern, unless the attacker has physical access to the location, since systems can detect if the location changes. E.g. Ip address change prompts the user. Not perfect, and hugely inconvenient for

I remember there being a lot of buzz about security issues related to allowing Browsers storing passwords, this was more than 10 years ago, but ever since that I have just not trusted them. I reluctantly use a open source password manager,

This was also my experience doing my last install, it caused me to: - make it a priority to avoid Windows and run Linux instead whenever possible. - strongly criticize Microsoft and Windows on my personal blog - systematically list the bad

Although I am not having these problems with Explorer, I am going to answer this out of interest. Obviously running Windows in a VM will be slower, but besides, Explorer is more than just the file manager. It used to be very easy to replace

Except, once you are done, you probably never have to touch that code again, and creating a class does not really take long. Depending on the given problem, this is sometimes more time consuming, but still gets easier and faster with practi

One step towards eliminating layout-shifts is to include width and height on images, in PHP this can be done automatically by using preg_match_all and replacing the elements in the HTML.

The main problem with Apple's App Store is that it is a closed monopoly. It is the only way to install software on an iPhone without jailbraking it, and if you do jailbreak it, then there might be other apps that refuse to work. In Den

This take is inaccurate and a myopic understanding of free speech. Moderating social media, and the internet is in fact, doable, and absolutely necessary. This has nothing to do with "censorship". The debate is actually easily set

I am a multimedia designer, by education, and I tend to still dislike some of these methods. Often I find them to just be a distraction from getting actual work done. Does not mean I would not use some of them, but I really prefer to just g
