I'll take this point to clarify just what I mean. I totally agree when you say "he has a gift of cutting through the bullshit". And I think that's great, which is why I started following him on Twitter in the first place. I wanted to hear s

They're different. There's certainly some cross-over. Rework is more tailored to businesses in general, whilst Getting Real is more specifically about launching web-based businesses (particularly web applications).

I haven't heard that proverb before, and yes, I can see how you can apply it. I think that maybe this is being overanalysed slightly, I don't mean to apply a quota to anyone. I hardly think this qualifies as a 'cult'. I just think that over

I'll give David credit where it's due - Rework is an excellent book, ROR has a great fanbase, and 37Signals products are generally very well executed. However I find myself paying little attention to anything he says because it's all just s

I see - I misunderstood your CNN-approach thing, thinking you meant reading tweets about their shows (on Twitter.com or something), whoops. I don't get CNN in the UK (CNNi but that's different) so I'm not too familiar, but I agree that th

Coincidentally, there is a lunar eclipse tonight. If you're in the UK, take a look at 9:15PM this evening - I'm afraid I don't know how visible it will be elsewhere.

Firstly, it originates from the US, so I suspect they can make savings like that. Secondly, US stores typically don't include Sales Tax or VAT in their listed prices. So I'm sure you'll pay 10-15% more on top of the price that's stated. I'm

Can't say I know too much about Loctite (as far as I know they don't sell it in the UK where I'm from), but they did point out that each of the screws had a small amount of blue substance on their bottom half. Supposedly this was meant to s

Also, forgot to mention the brilliant ending to the story. All this was happening around the same time Gizmodo and Engadget were having fun reporting "emails from Steve Jobs". I emailed a copy of all my Genius Bar woes to sjobs@apple.com -

I can sympathise with the difficulties the Genius Bar cause. I had a standard MacBook - about 2 months old - when I noticed, whilst working on it on the train, after picking it up one of the screws from the underside had become loose and fa
