Why do the standard paternity tests not notice when someone is effectively the child's uncle? The genes must match to a far greater extent than an "unrelated" person. Is that information lost between the actual test and the &

You've been misinformed. The 2009 version of Effective Go stated, as it does now: "This approach can be taken too far. Reference counts may be best done by putting a mutex around an integer variable, for instance." https:&#x

Typically if you wish to limit the number of goroutines you would spawn N workers and have them read from a single channel. If 20k of your incoming connections want to do something they send on the channel, without spawning a goroutine them

A few quick code comments: Now().UnixNano() is not guaranteed to be monotonically increasing. I'd be more careful if your keys really do need to be unique. You can use time.Truncate to get the 10 minute interval. var t time.Time

If instance can truly be initialized like that, then there's no need for the init() function, just do it at the top level: var instance = &singleton{} In fact, a lot of idiomatic Go will ignore the Get() method, exporting the insta

Algorithms that can write heartfelt posts like yours will be developed one day. This is literally the point of Turing's thought experiment: if a machine gives you answers indistinguishable from a human, is it alive?

Bill wanted to talk about his charity work. Comparing it to the commercial enterprises of his company's (largest?) competitor was probably not how he wanted the interview to go. Why should the two things be compared at all?
