I think this speaks to a change in direction to VR/AR systems. It seems pretty clear that long-term tracking solutions will include face/body tracking. Oculus hopes their camera-based tracking can be extended to track full bodies

Not entirely. LIDAR has other issues important when building self-driving cars. LIDAR can't read signs. LIDAR doesn't work well in the rain, though progress is being made these days.. And don't forget the cameras tesla uses d

It's not going to take a genius to start adding an aux-out to usb-c car chargers. I'll have to replace my micro usb car charger anyway.

The output of npm view is essentially a version of the package.json. That's a pretty standard structure. You can form some of the fields in different ways. But why would you want to grep through json when you can parse it?

As a general answer, doing something simple in pure JS can be more efficient than the overhead associated with making a native call from JS. The costs are going to vary depending on how the JIT handles things. That's probably the best

If you're talking about GraphQL, the implementation is undefined by default. It's just a query language spec. There isn't a "GraphQL Server" product. You can resolve data from many sources. It could be a no-sql data

There's more to it than that. React Native has a lot of things that aren't in React/ReactDOM. The most obvious is the bridge between javascript and native code. React Native has supporting tools like the packager which you wo

Microsoft has already answered this. Their React Native target for the windows desktop uses UWP. Microsoft is pushing UWP as a capable desktop platform. AFAIK, they aren't ending support for their other platforms just yet. WPF is still

You should understand a platforms general limitations before committing to it for any given piece of functionality. If you can't use it for something, don't. No one claims you can't mix and match. Use something like AWS Lambd

npm does a decent enough job deduping shared packages. The reason is different packages consume different versions of things. Java only lets you have a single version of a package. If the API changes, it can be a pain when your dependencies

The file system layout is constrained by how dependency resolution works. For example, a require() call has a very (computationally) simple algorithm. I certainly agree that your suggestion simplifies file-system layouts. The tradeoff is th
