The problem is your average user only sees glowing reviews of ES File Explorer on the Play Store. They do not care to search for information about the data egress to Chinese servers, and are lulled into a false sense of security by the Play

Legislators don't seem to understand that backdoored crypto is bad crypto. If I write a chat app that uses strong encryption, with the keys stored on each user's device, there are no legal grounds for me to modify any part of my a

>I just kind of figured we'd stop having UI lag by now Software will always expand in resource usage as computing becomes faster. This ought to be an adage that more programmers should think about.

It might not be profitable to recycle plastics- I'll give you that. But it's better than sticking it in a landfill and waiting 1000 years. Or worse, tossing it into the ocean.

I look up fatality stats for flying versus driving to the airport. It's somewhat funny- we should be more terrified of cars than of planes!

The city would never buy the medallions back, because the price was based on an assumption of monopoly- they are worth much less now with the ubiquity of Uber and Lyft. The cabbies have gotten the short end of the stick though.
